gravel in coilover threads?? what grease/oil to use to keep lubricated?
i just got a set of used tein ha coilovers and when i got them i just noticed there were little pieces of gravel and rock in the threads, where the bottom is adjusted on. What kind of grease or lubricant would i used to put back onto the threads, after i have removed the gravel? Any ideas on how to get the gravel out without lossing th grease?
Thanks,
Matt

Don't put any grease or lube on them or you will just attract more gravel and dirt. Before adjusting them, wipe them clean with a rag and some Simple Green. The adjuster will spin nice and freely if you clean it each time you adjust them.
get it at a pep boys any automotive store, he is trying to say ANY mild degreaser will work. and i gree, dont lube them, jusst clean them and expect that to happen, its a prob with all coilovers. (mild degreaser=liquid dishwashing soap)
