a few years back, i had an alarm put in. a few weeks after the install, the driver side power lock would make a loud noise. like from the actuator. now the pass side does it too. almost like its locking too hard. they still lock. just a really lound noise. like a buzzer kinda. did the installer skip a resistor or something?

 

Actuators are failing. It is comon for the process to happen faster when ignition control door locks are programed (lock and unlock with ignition key). It is most likely not due to the install. Do you know if they are factory installed actuators or aftermarket?

they are factory. its been making the noise for years and they still work. just makes that stupid noise.
