So i got mostly everything wired up correctly. but the 2 wires i'm having trouble with is the:
GREEN wire: suppose to be connected to 12V headlight output wire.
YELLOW wire: suppose to be connected to the ignition INPUT switched wire.
i'm having trouble finding the wires to connect to the other wires. has anybody installed this in the past and could help me out here? thanks!
car is a 1996 honda civic ex.

The ign. source can be found on under dash fuse box, use 2nd ign. free pin, the head light lead is the red/white lead from the head light switch, can also be found at the fog light in-line fuse, must be connected to hot side of fuse only. 94

by "2nd ign. free pin", are you talking about the empty slots with the female prong coming out of them? and where is the fog light in-line fuse? is it underneath the dash at the fusebox?
Sorry, not sure where the fog light fuse is in a 96 Civic. 94

ok, i found the 2nd ignition slot and connected the yellow wire to it. and i just connected the green wire from the module to the red/white wire behind the headlight switch. so now when i turn on my car, the headlight turns on with it. which is not what i wanted (i wanted it to turn on when the photocell sense darkness). but it would also turn off when i turn off the car. it is suppose to stay on for a certain amount of time, and then turn off automatically. the corner lights work fine (when it gets dark, the corners will turn on/off) but the headlight is what's giving me trouble. any ideas? maybe i hooked up the wrong headight wire?

Where did you get the 545T, it sounds more like a problem with it then with what wire you connected to, you must have the correct lead, [red/white] or the head lights would not turn on when ign. switch is turned on. 94

i got the 545T brand new from a friend of mine. yes, i did connect it to the red/white wire right behind the headlight switch. i mean it seems to be working, just not the correct way. maybe it has to do something with the ign2 slot? because i notice when i disconnet that wire from the ign2 slot, the lights will stop turning on with the ignition turned on, but then it wont turn on at all with the ignition switched input disconnected, maybe it's in the wrong spot?

I may be wrong as well, but on the relay harness, there is also a purple and brown wire. on the instructions, it said both of which is suppose to either goto a 12v source, a ground source, or 12v for 1 wire and ground for the other wire. i connected both of the brown and purple wire to a 12v source. is that correct? or was i suppose to connect them to a ground instead?

There are programmable options, you may have head lights programed as DRLs.
The 2nd ign. spot is OK, [hot when ign. switch is in run position].

there were 3 ways to hook up the relay harness onto the car, i chose the 1st choice (which was hooking up the voilet and brown wire to a 12v source). also, the only wires i didn't bother hooking up was the orange, blue/white, green, and violet on the main harness.
You have wired the violet and brown properly, they must be connected to 12V+, [wire diagram 1].
Try this, switch the "Nite Light Switch" on, lights should not turn on with ign. but will if the wiper switch input, [green] or the auxiliary input, [blue/white] are touchedto ground.
If this works system is wired properly and working, switch it off again and turn on ign. and wait, make sure photo cell is in direct sunlight it can take 30sec. for lights to go out.
Also make sure the DRL feature is disabled if you do not want the lights to be on anytime ign. is on. 94
