VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCMENT


So I have been talking a guy locally about come carbon kevlar lips.
As everyone knows I have the 88-89 civic spec J's Racing lip.
I plan on making that lip into carbon kevlar for myself. Now I'm checking to see if anyone else would interested in this as well. Currently right now there is NO ONE that makes a replica of this lip. From J's Racing or Chargespeed it retails $360.00. Thats not including tax or shipping to your house (if needed). Now the question is this how much are YOU willing to pay for an item like this. I already have a price for how everything is going to cost me I'm just trying to spread the love. If what people are willing to pay meets or beats the price of quote I was given then I'll start a mass production. Not to large but maybe around 100 or lips. I know the economy is down right now but some people out there still have a little bit of money. I'm not trying to rape anyone. As this is a business oppurtunity for myself as well as a great chance for other to enjoy new cosmetic parts for thier car that have not been done yet. I'll be making a thread to gauge interest as well as start a list. The turn around time on the mold being made will be anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks at the most. Each lip will take 2 days. I have a hook up on shipping through my job. So shipping anywhere will be no more then $100, just so you can factor that in. I plan on making mine from a carbon kevlar hybrid. I'm sure I can do other option as carbon fiber. This is just a filler. If this guy is good I may look into making a mold from my Mugen aero cover...

I'm not ballin enough for Carbon Fiber/Kevlar... but if you could manage do to a couple in Fiberglass/Polyurethane/ABS i'll be all over one!

I'd be very interested in one as well, assuming it would be close to fitting the Wagon front bumper. It's a little different than the hatch bumper, but pretty close.

Alright. Well some people were not far off on the price.
I'll have to ask for the price on just carbon fiber and fiberglass.
But the quote I got was $500 for the mold and $350 for carbon kevlar.

I'll check on just plain carbon fiber
If there is enough interest I'll start the process with him, if not then I"ll just do one for myself.

 

I'm very intersted if you can manage to make some Fiberglass lips.

Let me be clear.

jdmsh!t has the 89-91 SiR lip. The one I have on my car is not the same.

88-89 Si lip is not the same as the 89-91 SiR lip

I have a 88-89 bumper non-SiR on my car

So if you want to buy a poly. lip from jdmsh!t for your SiR or SiR style front end this is not the thread for you.

Anyways, did J's make them for the ZC or did someone mold it to a 88-89 USDM Bumper somewhere?

 

Yeah I didn't want to say what I really felt because I didn't want to effect future customers.
I have already done the research folks and I know what I'm selling.
