OEM Honda Carbon Fiber looking dash pieces?
Edit: This is the 2009:
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...BON+FIBER+LOOK
Can anyone show me some pics of these parts?
Whats the story on these? Did they come on the Mugens or something?
Sounds like it'd look cool, and it's very reasonably priced.
Edit 2: This is the 06-08:
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...IOR+GAUGE+TRIM
They don't seem to show it in Carbon Fiber Look. Que Pasa?
Will the 2009 pieces fit the 06-08's?

Its just an accessory you can get from Honda to replace your current trim. Nothing special, nor Mugen exclusive.
As far as fitment, i'm assuming it should be as there really wasnt not much difference. Although you are probably beter off buying a 06-08 one to be safe

if you read the installation pdf it isn't like the peices on the ITR's where it is a whole replacement peice it is just an overlay
jdmeg9, thanks, but where do you see the PDF's for it? I was unaware that Majestic and/or Honda had them. Could you show me?
teggsr925, that is a very ignorant comment. If someone is interested in changing the way their car looks, it's their decision. Just because you personally do not want to spend that much money on changing the look of your car, or would rather put some ebay POS stick-on carbon fiber ricer crap on your car over OEM honda parts, don't try and tell other people to do what you want.

So... can anyone confirm that it's just a stick/add on or the actual pieces? I'll call Majestic next week and find out faux shaux.

i kinda got excited when you posted that too myself. i had always admired the interior accents on the ITR's. i was really let down when i saw that it was just overlays.
here's the pdf.

on a side note i am sure it will fit a 06-08 but don't quote me on it. i am positive the shapes are the same honda just did an exterior uplift. and yes if you read the pdf you will see it is a stick on.

CF "look". AKA, "CF" stickers placed over OEM dashboard.
Who remembers the guy that thought his ride was "super-hooked up", because it had CF stickers all over the dash?

I have it in my 2006 EX Sedan. It is very noticeable, because it is silver and the rest of the dash is that flat black textured plastic. Its dark now, I will post some photos tommorow.

you guys put it down now, but when the pieces get dicontinued and these vehicles become sought after like 88-91 crx's you learn to appreciate stuff like this like the optional arm rest, eq, wheels that were on my crx, what helped sell my salvaged title vehicle for FULL asking price.

What he's saying is that these parts are readily available NOW. We should appreciate how cheap they are and consider getting stuff like this now before they become like the EF's and older models. These parts will be more sought after then, and we have easy access to them now, and cheap, from Honda. Even Collectors should be interested in stuff like this.
At least thats what I'm getting from it. Heh, maybe maybe your right. Maybe he just wanted to toot his own horn about selling his rex, idk

I bought the kit and leather steering wheel wrap from the dealer and installed it myself. Later, I found a site that sells it (OEM from honda) for almost 33% off. bernardiparts.com
I dry-fitted it and made a small mark (with a pencil) where each piece was to go.
I used a cloth and some alcohol to clean the 5 or 6 spots where the thin double sided tape (that came attached to the kit pieces) were to attach to my dash.
It has never come loose, not has it shifted, since Feb. 2006
I bought the kit because I have trouble finding certain parts for my daughter's car:

I think you have been inhaling acetylene fumes too much and your ant farm beckons your call. I think you should back off of me from here on out young grass hopper, this is definitely one of those times you'd be taking a bite you couldn't handle.
OK. you got the 'cool guy e-thug smack talk' last word in. Back on topic:
Thanks safedriver! props for actually providing helpful imput into the thread instead of (like usual) needless baby-bickering.
Case closed! I'm sold! haha (and thx for that link, too. good lookin out, maine.)

I worked at a honda dealer and saw the pieces and was kinda dissapointed... For the price, you can get a real carbon piece...
