Default D16 Spring height adjustment

What is the preferred method to adjust assembled spring height on SOHC D16 heads ? I cannot locate a VSI shim that appears to fit this motor. I even thought there might be extra thick spring seats available, but no luck there either. Not looking to do anything radical, just want to set to stock height after valve job. Thanks -

I get mine from my machinist. If your considering replacing the valve seats, just use stock replacements. No need for extra thick seats.

Do you happen to know if the inserts you got were VSI ? (They are usually stamped with the mfg name and part number). I have replaced the guides but not the seats since my height was within specs (barely). I was under the impression that the seats would be a real bear to replace compared to the guides. I noticed that there is a considerable amount of aluminum protruding above the seats which almost appears to be helping to secure the seats in the head. I would be tempted to remove this stuff with a 0 or 15 degree cutter but I am concerned that this would loosen the seats.
