Okay, as far back as I can remember, I've always assoicated the Civic and Integra as cars built off of the same platform but serving different purposes. Naturally, I just assumed the same held true for the Accord and Prelude, seeming they are Honda's and similar in size and dimensions and that when a new Accord model was introduced, a Prelude version wasn't far behind. Plus, the Prelude has always been much heavier than the Civic/Integra, and much more inline with the weight of the Accord.
However, a friend of mine seems hell bent on telling me that the Prelude is based off of the Civic platform, along with the Integra. He will not listen to reason and is becoming quite irritating, so help me set the record straight.
What platform, if any (maybe the Prelude has it's own suspension?), is the Prelude based off of?

The 3rd gen an older are based on the accord chassis. The 4th and 5th gens are basically their own platform with some similarities to the accord (the 5th gen more than the 4th). At no time was the prelude based on the civic/teg chassis.
