this swap has taken like 3 weeks now (mostly by myself) and I'm going nuts.

fuel, no spark. motor has no CPS / CKP sensor, harness does.

I have jdm (more wires doesn't plug in) and usdm (doesn't give spark) dizzys, can I go buy something at autozone like an obd1 accord dizzy and be in business with the CPK trick from ff-squad? Do i have to extend a bunch of wires or buy an expensive-*** obd1-obd2 harness, change ECUs or what?

I read somewhere that you'll have to transferr all the crank angle sensor, oil pump housing, etc. I may be wrong but there's a guy on the net that had to do this for his JDM F22 motor before it wouldn't start. Research more about this though.

 

OBD-2 car are gay(personal opinion (no ofence)).....therefore if you dont want to get into wiring problems buy a harness convertion....if you are really into wires.....look for the hayness book or helms book of the motor first and then the car(or vise-versa)....then do your own harness convertion.....all i can tell you is that OBD2 crank sensor is by the crank pulley and for the spark part....losen up you dizzy and ground it up some how so you can rotate the camshaft side then unplug the spark plug wires and then plug a sparkplug to it to see if it spark.....then rotate than dizzy manually to see if the spark plug spark....if it doesnt than it could be wires or rotor or dizzy cap.......... good luck

with your oem CAT or a good after market one your be set to go....

 

The ca smog ref I spoke to said this would be a same - for - same swap, so a replacement, since I did f22b for f22b1 ... But obviously the obd1 tech is older how am I going to get by?
