Yes i have stock internals and cant afford the other stuff yet bla,blal,bla.. but shouldn't this motor pump out more power than 230 crank hp at 8 psi before it knocks on 98 octane pumpgas?
I really tought that this setup should do 300whp+ well tuned but it didnt.
Civic 96 EK
92 h22a jdm prelude
525 inj
255 walbro pump
t3/t4 to4e turbo
3" downpipe, the rest is 2,5"
no bigger leaks
Aem ems
My tuner is good, but not very known with either honda or AEM. He said probably to high compression..
Im trying to solve the problem and i know if it's not the compression, it can be allot of other issues. Anyway, something is restricting it heavly,
-Is it my compression that's way to high? it reads around 230psi. hope its that easy.
-My next thought is that the AEM EMS is reading some wrong values or restricts it somehow, im not very known with the sytem either, temprature shows 205f on ems and the water that exits the motor reads 190f on external sensor, stock dasbord gauge is aslo at normal levels, so tempratur "should" be good.
o2 sensor on AEMpro is red.
-wrong startup calibration? the one we started with was from a prelude 96 h22a
-bad turbo?
I hope someones has an idea of what it might be, im out...

your turbo is small and a non built h22 block on boost is leading towards a crack block because of the weak internals also the compression is too high you need to lower it as far as anything else could be in the tuning
i have a bone stock h22 with a garrett t3/t04e as wel 63ar with neptune and 680cc injector tuned by evans it will me 350whp when put on 10 pounds on 93 octane pump gas daily driven for 6 months so far with no problems ... stock high compression.... so i just put those rumors to a close but i think its ur aem somtimes with those they read wierd when u do not get a other then oem distributor
