Ok, so I have a JDM B16a in an 88 crx dx. Now when I bought the car, I was told that the car used to run fine, and that it just needed a main relay or maybe a fuel pump. I have since changed both. The car was running but it was running like ****, it felt like only 2 cylinders (no power, and more gas didn't help at all.) Now, the car wont even run at all. I am getting fuel all the way up to the injectors, but the injectors are not spraying. When I hard wired them to the battery, they operated fine. This tells me that the issue is the wiring. Upon investigation, I found that my original dx underdash harness has been chopped all to ****. Whoever tried to do the multi-point conversion must have done a real bad job. I have removed my dx underdash harness completely.

My question is, could I swap the dx underdash harness for a multi-point HF harness? Will the fuse boxes match up or will I need an HF fuse box? Is it possible to put an entire HF wiring harness (underdash, and engine harness) in a DX?

Now i know everyone is gonna say it's easier to just use your DX harness and do the conversion. Im not arguing against that, however the harnesses have been removed. My dash is off and the carpeting pulled back. I know a guy with an HF that is junk, but the underdash harness is still good, so it would be easier for me at this point to just use that, if I can......

 

im not sure if the hf will work properly in the 88 dx.Im gonna say now unless you change the engine harness with it
i can tell you this though, the harness you do put in your car HAS to be from a 1988 ONLY 89-91 wont work. The 1988 has a square plug on the drivers side part of the harness compared to the 89-91 which has a round plug
