Reusing bump stop
I just got my Yellows (after almost a month of waiting, I've just been looking at my H&R sports), and I was looking at the instructions and it recommends new bumstops. I just assumed I would reuse my old ones. Should I get new bumpstops? I have an 89 crx si. Are my stock ones likely to be trashed? The car is well taken care of but it has 160,000 miles on it. Can't wait to get them on!
I am assuming you will be using the stock metal top hats too. If that is the case-treat your CRX (like I did) to a set of new rubber isolators and bumpstops. You will find the ones still there are 'maybe' ok before you go to cut them. Most springs require you to cut about 1/3 to 1/2 off and if you make a mistake-you will be sitting with junk in your hand. Trust me-3 cars and all of them were set up using brand new parts. You have Q's-drop me an e-mail and I'll try to help you along.

I really don't think that this is rocket science. Cutting the stock bump stop will be fine. Cut it in half with a knife, blade, saw, exacto, drywall saw or your teeth.
Anything that sharp will most likely work.
