It is stamped on a strip of metal that is riveted onto the dash on the driver's side, just behind the windshield glass, and is printed on the driver's door frame, and is on stickers scattered around the rest of the body. Otherwise known as the V.I.N. (vehicle id number).

Oh yeah, it's also on your vehicle registration from your DMV, and on the purchase contract from your dealer. Hard to miss.
