Requesting a redirect if possible!
im looking to replace my front hub assembly on my 1991 honda CRX.(bad bearing and brakes. lots of broken orr or rounded bolts). i picked up a 1990 CRX SI and pulled the whole assembly out for both sides. now im wondering if i need to put the SI axles in or will my non SI axles work with the SI hubs? and if i need to change the axles out, will the si axles work in my non SI transmission? i pulled all the parts in question out when i had the parts car here. just wondering how much time i can save. so if someone could redirect me to a thread contain such information (i did a bit of searching but all i really got was parts for sale and whatnot) or could just answer this question. i would be greatly appreciative! thanks in advance for any information!
It all depends on your motor. If it is stock, your stock axles will work on the si hubs. If you have a B series swap your will have to use b series axles.
yeah its the stock D15B7... yeah abuddy was saying i would need the SI "knuckles" to put a B-series motor in my car. as the B axles wont go into the reg CRX knuckles.. so i just wanted to be sure that my stock axles would go into those SI hubs!
AWESOME thanks much for the info!
AWESOME thanks much for the info!
I had 90 crex back in my freshman year, and i put a1 b16 in it, and never had to change out the knuckles, but i eventually did, with da knuckles, and rear disc conversion.
