Trying to figure out if the internals (aka rpm guage & speedo guage) can be swapped over from 90-91 into a 89 cluster. Does it make a difference if it's a Denzo or NS model?

 

I guess I always ask the tough ones....fresh views...anyone know?

 

I was able to modify an '89 UKDM speedometer to fit into a '90 USDM housing with a little bit of Dremel work on the face. The changes are covered by the housing so none of the modifications show, the back fits fine. You might be able to make it work in the other direction.
