Integra Rear Hatch SHOCKS!@!
Does anyone know how to install the rear hatch shocks and know a link for help or walkthrough, My rear hatch shocks are blown and am pickin up a new set, Also anyone with an extra set of these let me know thanks!! ps i searched a bit before posting this
well its not like its a straight up bolt they seem kinda like a banjo fitting, and since ive never taken one apart and the hatch weights like 100 lbs id like to know an easy way of removing them. so if anyone has any reasonable pointers id appreciate it, else keep to yourself.
When I changed them in my integra it was kinda hard. Only because it weighs a lot. Other than the weight problem I just remember taking off 2 E-Clips, one on each side...its shouldn't be too hard. I would recommend you have someone helping you to support the hatch.

what year integra?.....normally if you buy a set from autozone or whatever....they come with instructions...very easy...can be done alone but easier with two people, unless you want to rest the hatch on your head...lol
Get a stick to hold the hatch up. You will need a 12mm wrench to unbolt the struts from the hatch itself. Then take a flat screwdriver to pop the covers off the bottom part of the strut. Then use that screwdriver and another to take off the C clips. Take your old struts off and install the new ones. Repeat those instructions in reverse to put them back on. Hope that helps you out.
The weight is the main issue, and ive never played around with the ball joints at the bottom so this should put me in the right direction.
thanks for all the help guys. Im gonna try it very soon, i appreciate the help.
