94 black honda prelude won't start
I own a 1994 Black Prelude Vtec and lately since the start of this summer I noticed that the car wont start meaning that I get in turn key and starter spins but engine wont start up. I also noticed that if I move the car like ten feet then get in and try it again it usually starts up. Its a black car so not sure if it my be conducting to much heat under hood for some electrical device or what not but it only does it on sunny days where there is direct sunlight hitting it. Please help me I love this car and don't want to have to get ride of it cause I can only really afford to do the work on it myself.
Thanks everyone I just joined and this is a sweet site for know how!

check your main relay. make sure when u first start your key when the dash lights up you should hear a noise after half the lights go away.... for fuel and spark check it out

You should hear a click when you turn the key to "On" before starting it. If you don't then your main relay is overheating to the point where the solder points start to crack and have a loose connection.
You can either solder it or replace, I soldered mine with no problems and it starts up like a champ now in the heat.
I can solder it for a fee

I also just re-soldered my main relay, that was having "hot interior" starting issues. Works like a champ, no problems yet. A couple of the solder joints fell through the moment the iron touched them. Mos 'def the problem. Cold solder joints. Save 60 bucks there.
Anybody got a pic of the relay open? Mine has this problem intermittently and i have an iron and a roll of solder lying around, so i might just have at it when i get some free time.
Either that, or is it pretty self explanatory? I mean, if its just a couple solder points and nothing too fancy i should be able to just look at it and figure out what the deal is.

I've heard it could be your ignition switch, and that it wears out over time. My lights always come on, but my fuel pump sometimes doesn't prime, so I have to play with my key until I hear it prime up. Fuel pump is a brand new Walbro 255.

Is it a wire type connection of solder points or is it a setup with "teeth" near each other that need to be bridged by solder? Your description makes it sound like it'll take longer to get the relay out or wait for the iron to heat up then the actual repair will take... simple curiosity at this point.
you have it down it sounds like it. It really will take longer to get it out and let the solderin pencil heat up there is only like 6 joints that need soldered and there are pretty large and hard to screw up just put a touch more solder on them and your good to go. It may take you a minute to get the platic cover off because it can be tempermental at times
Ok thanks guys but one more question where do I find this relay at and does anyone know where I can get a diagram please take it easy and lol I know I worded the color part badly making me sound dumb sorry I just don't do great with my english skills!
Just changed my Relay a while ago.
Heres a diagram:

and here's some instructions if you so choose to solder it:
http://techauto.awardspace.com/mainrelay.html
You could go get one at a junkyard, the code of the relay is RZ-0139.
I was a cheap-o and decided to go to a junkyard.
From what I know, you can use the same relay from an Integra (RZ-0132)\
Other relays from other hondas won't work for some reason....
