I'm about to trade my 1989 CRX with a B16 and Skunk2 pro s coils for a stock 240sx plus $500. Both have clean titles and both are clean cars. The 240 has 120xxx miles and my CREX has 227xxx. Do you think this is a good trade?

omg yeah. no way i'd pay 4500 for a 240. if your car is worth that much, keep it till a better deal comes along. if the 240 was already swapped, sure i'd do it. but a stock one? and your car IS swapped? nope, don't do it.
Agreed^^^a 240sx is only good if the powerplant is a sr20 or a rb swap.
to each his own... i which own both cars a crx and s13 coupe, and wouldnt waste my money on a sr or rb. not sayin there not good motors just sayin why would you spend so much money when you can boost the ka and have alot more torque and be just as reliable if tuned.
both are great cars and if you want to trade then trade i see the s13 is a SE which has power windows and sunroof, is it a auto or manual?
a ka isn't really a motor worth boosting. but, it sounds like you already made your mind up. its a waste, honestly it is. you could sell your crx for 4500 bucks, then look around on ebay or even craigslist and find a sweet deal on a 240. a few months ago, i saw an sr20det swapped 240, with a slivia front end conversion, needed NOTHING, already done, for 3 grand. it was a 95 at that. i'm telling you, if you trade, you WILL be disappointed in it. you would be trading a fairly fast car, for a definately slow car. bad trade if you ask me.
sell your car for the 4500. S13's are not worth much (overpriced to the drifting craze which is already showing signs of popularity decrease). you could buy an S14 with the money from your CRX sale. i vote keep the CRX or sell it, dont throw your money away by trading it.

Yea I understand that. I see so many 240's that have such crap interior. When I saw this one, with leather, I just got excited cause the interior was nice. Do you think the 4500 is a decent price for my car?

a have alot of friends with boosted 240's both ka and sr and once the sr guys have seen what the ka's can do they regret buying the sr. for example friend has a s14 (kouki) with just a piston and rod kit making 540hp and sold the turbo to go bigger like i said before to each his own
i think 4500 for a s13 is pretty steep you could buy a s14 for that much or sell the crx and find a cheaper one and build and boost it under 4500
if you wanna find out more on ka's if your interested check out www.ka-t.org they have alot of great stuff on the site i have a few build threads on there since im doin ka-t right now also

Yea I think I'm gonna take the cash. and get something. I'm not set on a 240. If I can find one that has nice interior. my crx has really nice interior and I don't think i could have a car with crap on the inside

Because $4,500 for a stock b16 crx is alot.
But if he is willing to put out $4,500 for your car then do it in a hearbeat.
KA turbo's are beasts. Think about it, if you want big reliable numbers, once you buy the SR20 in the first place, you still have to buy a new turbo manifold, bigger turbo, bigger injectors, internals, and then tune it. Do the same to a 2.4L block and i see no way the SR has an advantage. It's an engine that already comes in the car!
and lol@jhammond_82 for saying a B16 rex is a "fairly fast car"
By the way RWD>FWD
