Icon6 About to clean EGR ports, but they are welded.

Anyway to get these off? Do I still go by the same procedure of drilling and using a slide hammer to remove?

If the ports are welded, you can just drill out a hole and then weld it back up. If that's not an option, perhaps epoxy the holes or drill the holes so that replacement plugs from Honda fit right in. Or you can just try pouring some seafoam into your egr port and hope that cleans things up.

Use a metal grinder to remove the welds. Then proceed as normal.

Some 4G intake manifolds have a welding glob on each of the EGR ports. This prevents access to the plugs.
