I had trouble getting the phillips head screw out of mine. Ended up cutting the rotor apart with a pair of wire cutters (it's all hard plastic) and removing the screw with a pair of pliers.

I had the exact same problem a few weeks ago. I just cleaned the rotor's edge with emery cloth to get rid of the rust/burn marks and reused the old one.

That was my problem...I used too much strength and stripped out the head of the screw!

just break the rotor apart until you can get at the screw. I replaced the phillips head with a hex head so i would never have the problem again.

well there was no screw in it, that was the problem. it wouldnt come off even without the screw. i ended up just prying it off with a flathead and puttin the new one on without the screw. but funny story, my car wouldnt start today, so i took the cap off and the screw to the rotor fell out of some part of the distributor lol. i screwed it in and it started right up
