Default High mount brake light w/ factory spoiler?

My car has the factory spoiler w/ brake light. I was checking my lights to prepare for a road trip and noticed the high mount brake light (the one on the rear deck) was completely out. I went to remove the bulb and noticed there was no power wire connected and I couldn't find the wire anywhere.

I've heard they (the factory) disconnect the rear deck brake light when they install a spoiler... is this true? If so, where can I find the wire to reconnect it?

It looks weird having the housing for the light sitting there but not lighting up, I'm concerned it could cause me to get pulled over (for nonworking brake light) while driving cross country.

Would it be a better idea to just remove the whole housing?

Any suggestions are welcome.

It's a '99 Acura CL 2.3, bone stock.

I would just take the 3rd brake light housing out. The factory didn't connect the wiring to the light since they put the wing on. Why have a light that is going to be blocked by the wing?

My 99 civic had a similar issue. I had a massive factory spoiler and wanted to wire the high mount back in so i could have 4 brake lights. From what i saw, the high mount was cut out of the circuit, and the spoiler spliced into it's place. I tried to wire the high mount in but i think you need to add an amplifier because the brake circuit is designed as three lights in parallel, and a fourth would require extra amps to run.
