Icon2 im a newby

i just bought an si and im kind of new at everything. The previous owner put a god awful muffler that sounds like an elephant sooo can someone give me some advice on a muffler that is quiet and not expensive. $100 or less please. I dont want it to be a piece of crap though. Thanks

buy a stock muffler. or a turbo muffler from advanced auto parts they are like 30 bucks and quiet....

go to any muffler shop and buy something that looks stock. Or buy a stock muffler and slap it on. It's not worth having the cops always on your *** just for that 1-5 extra horsepower...

Yes, that.

I'd look for a stock one from the junkyard. Or, the OEM looking magnaflows aren't bad. Or, an apexi WS2 axleback, although I'm not sure how it would sound without the apexi resonator. Basically anything that's not a straight through design is going to be reasonably quiet. For your application though, I think a used stock muffler is best.

i dident know a muffler could even give you any kind of HP

it can free up restricted horsepower caused through the stock exhaust.
