Default Washed out rings/cylinder walls

Well I think that my cylinder walls may be washed out. My setup is h22 with f22 crank and rods, h22 type s pistons, oem rings/bearings/gaskets except hg which is a cometic, rc 550's ect.

When I got the car back together and primed the oil pump it started up right away but was idleing at 3k. No wiring was changed from before and all sensors were reused from the previous setup but for some reason my tps was reading out opposite voltage readings. Im almost positive that was the reason for my 3k idle. I let the motor run for around 15 seconds with it like this. I started trying every tps sensor that I could get my hands on with all of them giving me the same voltage readout. If I reversed the wires (back to dpfi) the car would not start but I would get the right voltage readout. So I pulled the plugs and they were horrible looking, just soaked with fuel (I had been messing with my offsets and pulling fuel from the map in ectune). Get some new plugs and put them in and the car starts and runs for around 10 seconds idling around 1400. Once my wideband started reading it pegged 7.4 so I shut it off. Pulled the plugs and once again soaked in fuel.

So I left the plugs out of the cylinders for 3 days and got another set and put my stock injectors in. After a few cranks the motor would not start so I stopped. I pulled the valve cover off because I wanted to check my timing just to make sure and it had a weird smell to it. The oil looked more transparent than usual and looked like something had been mixed with it. Continued to pull the head. Got it off and rubbed my finger on the cylinder wall and it had a strong smell of fuel.

So I guess my question is, did I catch it early enough or has the damage allready been done? Is there anything that can be done? Sorry for the novel just trying to explain it out.

It would appear so but the best way to determine would've been to perform a compression test. Torque the head back on and getter done. Im gonna say 80psi the minninum for cumbustion to occur. Only because I've compression tested a 1st gen b16 and it had 80 psi n still ran but the ringlands shortly went afterwards.

Ill try that out. I should of done a compression check before I tore it down. Anybody with experiance want to give an insight on the smell.

were you getting a solid check engine light while the engine was running? what was your map sensor voltage?

ectune sometimes screws me around especially if you haven't updated the software in a while. calvin will make some change to injector offsets or rom versions or something else which will completely change your previous tune...

No cel just the blinks on intial key on map sensor voltage was ay 2.6 area with koeo. I thought that the map sensor voltage was supposed to be 2.9 with koeo so I went through all of wiring with a multimeter and it all checked out. One thing that I think was messing with my voltage redout was my elevation. Im around 3800 area were im at. The dataloggin file that I did have when the motor ran got erased on accedent. The program was allways updated as well.
