Default My exhaust theory on overheating

ok, exhaust is broken just as it get to the begining of the pipe, which essentially is just past the motor, could an engine overheat if in idles for a bit of time in 100 degree weather, since i think exhaust is rising back up into the engine compartment?.?...

It could, especially since one of you fans are not working which you need to get fixed asap.

Why not just go to Autozone and buy an exhaust patch repair kit? They are like $5

Most likely you need to change the coolant, verify you have no leaks, and make sure the fans both come on when the AC is turned on.

I do not think a minor exhaust leak will cause you to over heat. I have run with just the top portion of a header and not overheated.
