Failed emissions ftl. I have some kind of chip (baught with car) that is converted rfrom obd1 to obd2. My question is my buddy has a stock ls ecu, can I use this to help me pass emissions? And finally (yes iv searched) I just recently baught an rs*r header from a jdm b16. Should this header work on my lsv with a 2000 si head without any fabrication mods?

 

b16 headers dont fit b18 engines . it will throw a code if you use the ls ecu. what year if your car?

 

what motor in what chassis are you trying to smog? If you have an lsv and trying to smog the car like that, you would not be able to pass. Ls/v produces too much emission to pass smog. The if you have a vtec motor, your stock Ls ecu will not work because fuel would be off a bit and CEL would be on, thus failing smog before the car gets on machine.

 

who told you this all b series headers are compatible

 

im trying to put my db7 with a pretty much stock ls v threw emissions. They don't use a sniffer anymore here.
