Default brake MS interchangeability question

i have a 91 dx hatch with Si front brakes and the brake MS has taken almost a complete dump. I've heard people talk about using different MS's in some cars I didn't know if it was possible in an ef or what the advantages would be.
Suggestions on which MS I should buy and why?
thanks

you can upgrade to a slightly larger civic ex sedan mc, however you need the matching brake booster to go with it.

thanks for the info, is that the only one?
i have access to a MS from a CRX Si for free, mine says "15/16" the crx i believe is "5/6", would it work with out swapping brake boosters? would there be any disadvantage to using it?
sorry if this is a noob question...i don't know anything about brakes
its just my daily with a b16, not by any means a track car, maybe the occasional autox...just trying to figure what would be the best replacement (or cheapest) since it's gotta be replaced anyways

I don't think you need to change the booster in order to use the 90-91 EX MC. And I'm pretty sure Honda never made a 5/6's MC... they are usually 13/16, 7/8, 15/16, or 1". If the free CRX one is smaller than 15/16's I would pass on it.

Also, its abbreviated MC, not MS. I'm not sure how you spell cylinder with an S.... The only thing I can think of thats abbreviated MS is multiple sclerosis or Microsoft, and I'm not sure why you would want either of those for your car.

You can use any of the mentioned MC's as long as it can be bolted on to your BB, but we always recommend to use the correct BB though.
