thinking about getting an ef
im torn between 92-95 hatch or 95 coupe but then this week ive seen many 88-91 civic hatches that look good and im leaning to them now.I searched for how much a jdmef front end would cost and someone said 575 dollars i was wondering if some ppl could give me sites where i could buy one.My plan is first to get a nice cheap ef hatch i see them go for 600,500 even 200
sounds good cuz if i do get one for one of these prices ill immedietly drop in a sohc vtec motor.I hope to get a black ef so i can get some rota circuit 8s in bronze
intake and some suspension which will be first when i get the car.So sounds like a good plan to me and the car will look nice maybe drop a b16 after a while and jdmef front end i cant wait
.Funny i have like 4000 i should buy an ef now

I'd stay away with the coupe...its just me...EF and EG hatches
I was going to say, only drawback from an EF, putting in B-series motors requires new mounts and stuff, but since you're putting in a SOHC motor anyway...more power to you

if u can slap a SOHC VTEC and buy a car cheap u will be happy for a while
then save for a good power mod.. and slap a turbo and ****.... but yeah going for an EF its a great deal.!

oka im doing research on this ecu but once someone said get a shoc vtec engine and a p28 ecu and your good to go.I was wondering whats so great about this ecu and what tranny would you get?
you'll need to convert to obd1 to use a p28
tranny you'll probably want to stick with 88-91 si. you dont have a lot of options as you need to stick with the cable trans
why are you buying an ef if you already have a b18c powered eg ???
you're not gonna get much of an ef for $500
unless you have a use for a second car id say save your money and buy something useful
