Default LOL @ kid that bought my ITR.

brief history: i was selling my ITR for $12k. some kid offered me $10.. i hated to do it, but did 'cause i happened on a GREAT deal on another car. here is my ad:

http://hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=2466012

pics of the car, for good measure:

i had distance shots of every scratch and dent.. along with close-up pictures with them circled in red. the pics of the car showed an OEM body kit, which was removed, but i don't see where i state that in the ad, so i must have forgotten to put "body kit in pictures no longer on the car". i included the VIN for carfax reasons, etc. i was very forthcoming about the condition of the car.
anyway, guy comes to buy the it. i remind him about the JDM engine, and explain how i made it all OBD2 compliant (oil pump, etc). i told him everything about the car. even how he'll probably get a CEL for "fuel tank leak" 'cause the gas cap needed to be replaced and barely passed the smog vacuum test. i told him everything i could think of. he then asks about body kit, i told him i sold it. there were rub marks from the weather strip that buffed out (i started to do it, but ran out of time) and the two holes in the rear bumper cover were capped off.. so he then offers me $9,800 for the car. yes. seriously. anyway. i tell him no. $10k makes me sick, but i can use the money if he wants the car. he looks it over. test drives it. i have it smogged while he waits. he agrees to buy the car and it's a done deal.

this was back around the end of April.

i hear nothing.. thinking he's enjoying the car.. then i get this PM today:

So I did my first oil change on the ITR today, since I finally had some time to get under it and take a look- and I noticed the Oil pan said P72... So I went ahead and looked at the block and that said P72 as well with a date stamp of 93, so I'm going to assume U dicked me and gave me a poor man ITR setup (94 SiR-G bottom end) with a 97 spec B16a head (I haven't taken it apart yet to fully inspect it). I knew something was up when vtec didn't crack that hard but I figured U just tookout the spec3 camshafts; I guess I shoulda known not to do business with you after all the shaddy things that happend (side skirts, rear valance, dents, etc). Also, on my way home after purchasing the car from you, I noticed that it has some type of engine cutt-off after you engage in VTEC- what's the deal wid that? I hope you're having as much luck with your EVO as I am wid this bucket U ripped me off for.
so now, because this guy doesn't know how to read engine dates, knows nothing of JDM engines, and now regrets not getting the body kit, he's gonna go around telling people i scammed him?? and to say it has some type of "vtec cutoff"?? wtf? did he break the damned car or something??

i know we have a scammer list. is there a way to make a "bullsh!t accusations list"???

LOL

i thought it was pretty funny and wanted to share. that's the only good thing about getting away from my honda: i no longer have to deal with people like this. but.. i do miss the car.

maybe i should ask to buy it back?? haha

Anyone who says that the "vtec didn't crack that hard" is a douche. Also $10k is good deal even with the jdm engine, I wouldn't even return his pms since he sounds like a whiny bitch.

in japan, all 1.8L blocks are stamped "b18c". be it a GSR or ITR. they do now have a "5" at the end to differentiate the ITR from the GSR engine.

he got the car for a GREAT fvcking deal. it killed me to let it go, but i'm happy with my Evo. but yeah.. when i read "the vtec didn't crack that hard", my first thought was "idiot". funny.. i posted this on a website i moderate. "douche" came up many times. haha. i replied to explain the differences between JDM/USDM engines.. the oil pan stamp, etc. only because i don't want him running all over H-T and saying how i scammed him. so.. i guess i'm making this thread to LOL at, as well as put all the info in case he decides to make any accusations. i have issues with being accused of things i didn't do. ya know?

that's an excellent idea. i'd love for him to do that... but if he's whining about paying $10k for an ITR, i don't forsee him taking the car to a dealer.

Your ****ED UP, You ARE A BS seller you ****,,,

Go BURN IN HELLL!!!

and then you laugh about it and have the odasidy to post this thread! you SHOULD be on the scammer list,

you had a super detailed ad, with everything mentioned down to every scratch but didn't tell him the jdm motor in a ItR was not a ItR motor!?

withholding info to someone who may or may not be ignorant to hondas does NOT make you legit, and NO that car was not a good deal even at $9800 without a oem motor in it, especially your bullshit poormans motor.

I hope your EVO returns the ****ed up karma you dished out!

GO DIE you ****!!!!

The oil pan is going to have P72 on it. That's completely normal for the ITR.

You had a detailed advertisement and the buyer should have expected some troubles, because the car's original engine was not in the engine bay.
He negotiated a price.

Even if the kid was ignorant and did not know what to look for that does not mean he should bot have disclosed it, he was apparently super descriptive with every bit of the car down to every dent and scratch but 'forgot' to mention the fact that it was not a JDM ItR motor in the ItR make me feel like this seller is a scammer.

Luke I said withholding information dies not make you a legitimate seller and it sure doesent mean he practiced good buisness whatsoever,

again thd post of this thread screams the character of this screwed up seller.

LOL, are you for real? Are you the one who bought the car?

If not, STFU, you don't know what you are talking about.

If you are, you still don't know what you're talking about.

I know this car personally. I helped do much of all the work ever done on it, in my garage.

There is NO WAY it is some hermaphrodite engine. You either don't know what you are talking about, are trying to scam somehow, or got jacked having it at some shop since then.

It was a legit car with a legit motor, just not the original one.

IDK.

Audacity.

Sorry, I just had to. Phonics and the English language don't go well together at all, but I love to see people guess.

Dude, you missed the point of this thread. It IS an itR motor from Japan. The point of the thread was that the kid doesn't know what he is looking at.
