Thought i would post up here for help. I have a 94 h22a in my 97 civic coupe. Recently it has been crazy. It is running real rough. It idles real low, hesitates/lags when i give it more throttle, it pops/gurgles from the exhaust which sounds to me like it is back firing. Just don't know what is causing this and it is driving me nuts. Please help.

 

Dizzy or spark plug/wire related issue off the top of my head.....

 

they looked fine before, but i will definitley check again considering i just glanced at them. Thanks

 

Check your cam and ignition timing and check for any CELs. Maybe the tensioner failed?

 

I will do that, i do have a cell that comes on but it has been on since i did that swap. It is for the egr valve.
