Default Three Questions

Okay first, I'm looking to order a couple of things from CorSport. Looking to go with the TB spacer with the gaskets and the Strup header. I already have the Skunk2 exhaust but figured I'd wait on getting a header to do the install. Do you guys recommend the TB spacer from P2R?

Next, I was going to initially get the reflash, but now that Hondata is offering the FlashPro, would this be the best for N/A tuning with some mods?

And last, I'm taking the car to Hilton Head, SC in July, which is a 12 hour drive. I saw somewhere on here before a car with blue shrink-wrap looking stuff on the front. Basically something I can put on after I wash the car and remove once I get to SC, protecting it form bugs and ****. Where can I find this, and what is it called?

Thanks,
Bob

Debatable but I have one. :D Check the link but your choice to decide.

Yes, customizable tuning is better than any reflash.

Blue painter's tape found at your local hardware store. Good luck!

clear bras are mad expensive. painters tape works.

do u have an intake? do u plan on getting one? the tbs ****s with fitment of an aftermarket intake. and i felt zero difference having one and without it. i actually sold it lol

dont buy a strup header, get somethin with a 2.5" collector like the vibrant or buddyclub. even that ssr replica. u can find any of these used easily.

and tuning is better than a reflash.

Well the Strup header seemed great for the money. What difference in gains would I notice from Buddy Club and Vibrant for $250+? And yes, I have an Injen CAI, so should I pass on the TB spacer? And I think the stuff I saw looks almost like the shrink wrap stuff they put on the hoods of new cars, while you see them on the truck and stuff.

I know what you are saying about tuning being better than a reflash, but when Hondata developed their reflash for our cars it was a tuning session with common mods. So if you buy a $700 Flash pro you still will have to pay someone at least a couple hundred dollars for a custom tune. You probly would only get a few more ponies than one of their base maps that have your mod combos if your tuner is better than hondata's which is doubtful. So by getting the reflash, the tuning session is done for you.

I wouldn't get the reflash anymore either but my point is valid.

Oh yeah one more thing. If I get an HID kit, would the Lumenia 9006 6000K be plug and play, easy to install?

Fixed.

Yes, I considered this. Its basically like saying I think I can tune it better myself than Hondata would, which isn't going to happen. One thing that I never was certain on was this: Can I datalog in realtime, using my laptop on my passenger seat to test and tune between runs?

you can make more power over a base map. not all cars are the same. its a good starting point for tuning to use one of the maps.

Do buy a Strup header or DC- Use the money left over from that and buy something else.

I gained 16 HP off of my DC. Dont let others fool you on the 2.5 collector crap

Get a full nose mask. I only use mine for long trips and my bumper has no chips.

I thought that my SI Sedan mask would fit my EX Sedan, but I doesn't.

bernardiparts.com has one for you 27 SI coupe for $125.19 #08P35-SVB-100

I thought they were the same shape, but the texture was different. What are the fitment issues between the ex and si?

I bought the one for my 08 SI Sedan and it fits the SI, fine.

I tried to put it on my 06 EX Sedan and I could not get the tabs to slide under the grill.

The SI item #11 grille base #711-snx-a00za costs $120.08 VS
The EX item #3 grille cover #71125-sna-a00 costs $47.20

The photos of these 2 parts are different.

i have the P2R spacer + 2 gaskets on my Fa5 with a Fujita SRI and i have no fitament issues whatsoever. It's also been dyno proven to gain 3-5whp which is worth it to me.

There seems to be too much ambiguity on the TBS and unless I see proven gains, there's no sense in wasting $120 on this mod.

So would CAI, header, exhaust, and FlashPRO be the limit of N/A bolt-ons, or can you guys list something else that will extend performance for less than $500. BTW, I'm looking to throw a Stage 2 SC on the car sometime next year.

I wouldn't go with flash pro yet. You would just have I/E/H setup and it might add a few extra HP, but nothing worth the $800 it will be (with tune). HID's are really easy to install, and I would recommend getting them. If I were you I would get a header (doesn't matter which one) and then save for a SC, THEN buy flash pro. With the TBS you will get a couple more HP, and as you add more mods it will slightly increase HP as well (just like a CAI would). You can also look into getting Ingalls Powerstick, but I myself have no clue what they do.

You can also look at getting TSX cams too, but again I don't know too much about them
