also have you maybe thought about purchasing an alarm and doing it yourself? just a thought cuz sometimes u just can't count on someone to do a good job. try studying up on it and see if maybe u could attempt it yourself and if needed u can get help from some of the ppl on here, FCM was a big help for me when i had to fix my alarm installers mess that he left me.

thanks bigluelok i was going to post that link when i got home but you beat me to it, i had the exact same problem with my installer messing up my alarm install and got help from FCM in fixing what he did. So check out that link and see if you think you might be able to attempt it and what not, just be sure to also get the instruction manual for alarm which you purchase as well as a wiring diagram for your car too so you know which wires to tap into and such.

man that really sounds like exactly what i went through, thieves tried to steal my car and messed up everything so i had my installer put in another alarm but of course he did a terrible job so i had to go in and fix it. if your able to take some time and do it yourself i would. for now just get a really basic alarm just so it can make some noise and buy yourself a good one that you can do yourself from an authorized dealer that way you can call tech support if need be during the install.

if you are used to wiring diagrams and all is not hard at all, i'd suggest to jank the alarm and rewire it as you want to, dont forget to get the manual of it, if is a DEI you have plenty of chances to get the manual in their website free plus you can also add some sensor, cuz having a alarm without any sensors at all is just a waste of money believe me. do some research and look for places in your car that nobody would even think of to hide your brain.Good Luck!

No matter what alarm you have, you'll have your black/white starter wire cut in two and each end connected to alarm wires. Cut all the alarm wires off your stock ignition harness, tape them up with electric tape, and reconnect your starter wire. The 10 gauge wire starter wire can be difficult to solder for an amateur, so you may want to try crimping instead. Get a 10 gauge butt connector and some Channel Lock 909 crimpers from Home Depot. Then just trace all the rest of the alarm wires and cut them and tape the exposed stock wires.

Pretty easy man. Not a bad idea to disconnect the battery since you're just starting. But you should be good. Don't throw your money away.
