Default rebuild burning a quart a week

hi i just did new rings and rod bearings on my d15 bottom end. once put all back together it was blowing plent of smoke under load and burning alot of oil. i compression tested the motor and got 200 210 205 200. only thing i can think of is the expander on the oil rings looked a tad small and wouldnt butt. i checked ring gap on all the rings and it was good. the oil rings werent marked so i figured they were unidirectional. i oil pressure tested the motor and it was good also. any ideas would be great thanks guys

they looked decent. still could kind of see the cross hatch on them. either way i got new oil rings on the way and am going to hone them b4 the new rings go in. i just hope thats the problem. idk if this matters but at first when i saw the smoke i pulled the plugs and only one had oil on it then progressively they all got that way. i just know its a **** ton of oil. also i heard that when you stick your hand over that oil fill cap when its running you should feel air rumbling. i do... so possibly a head problem?

it wasnt burning practically any oil but compression tested low so i went with new rings and did rod bearings while i was in there.

alright thanks that was the plan but making sure its not something simple i was over looking b4 i tore it apart. also if i open my oil fill hole to put oil in smoke comes out which obviously is bad. but my oil is all burnt so im assuming from that. same with my spark plugs when i take them out a little smoke comes with it.
