Default Stripped nut from hell

On the bottom area of the alternator on the belt side there is a nut that stripped completely while trying to remove alternator. I mean this pos is from hell, I bought that stripped nut/bolt remover and no dice just rounded it some more. Any advise. I also used PB blaster Or some **** but didn't respond. I think Im gonna have to cut it but WTF.

Buddy, did you mean you rounded the nut? If you did, maybe do a weld around and use it as a grip take it off. otherwise, heat it up an use a stilson to take it off.

It's kind of a tight spot if you're trying to get the adjusting bolt underneath the alternator (which is what it sounds like). It's not that thick of a bolt so using something like a Dremel with a cutting attachment or just something strong enough to cut the bolt. This of course will have you either buying or salvaging another bolt to replace it. Unless its really torqued in there, perhaps a long nose vise and some love might work too.

THAnks guys, YEAH I didn't believe in Vices but now I do. THey worked like a charm Thanks
Also swapped the alternator and Drove the car around about 20-25 min to charge the battery that was practically dead. Before the new alternator the tachometer and the car would begin to go crazy and power would die after about 2 to 3 minutes. When I got to a red light, sat there til green and took off well...I didn't exactly take off. The car had no power it would accelerate extremely slow then as it began to move it would operate the dying alt faster providing a bit of a charge but not enough to drive it. When I turned the lights on the car would die. Or turn signals it would die After new alt no sign of power loss, was quieter because of new bearings and pulley. And so far it charged great, lets keep our fingers crossed I gotta keep this thing running for a little while longer before I give up the motor for adoption. It just keeps diggin into my pocket when Im trying to save to get it out of there. My PROJECT IS SECRET.

Go get a flucking job you bum. Are you following me or what. What are you a net stalker. Like I said last time GTFO

and for your info that would be practically impossible unless the entire motor was pulled you azzclown. It's moderately inaccessable, even more with the stripped nut. Do you even what I'm referring to Noob? bAN?

I actually have 2 jobs. So I dont know where the whole bum thing came from.

Nope not a net stalker, I just dont put up with bullsh*t especially from people like you. If you are going to talk sh*t to me, then you better be ready for me to come and school you. Its that simple. If you cant handle people bashing you, then dont bash them, or you can be an A+ puss about it and cry and say stupid things.

You called me a noob when you cant even use the quote function correctly. lawlz. Ban? Did I really hurt your feelings that bad? Woooowwww..... its the internet. Dont be a dbag and other people wont be a dbag to you. Simple.

And is the nut stripped or rounded? There is a massive difference. Yes you can get a small socket on by soaking it w/ wd-40 and using a pry bar to force it on.
