Default Rotrex h22a

i have decided im going to boost my obd1 h22a. I wish to go with a supercharger and i know the JRSC wont fit, i havent found any kits for my model and was hoping someone knew what was needed to run rotrex? From looking at kits for other cars it looks like tb to supercharger, and supercharger to belt but there is more in the kits than that. What else do i need?

Thanks
Brent

" The Rotex is designed to spin one way, clockwise, the H22a spins counter clockwise so in order for a Rotex SC to actually work you would have to put it on the H22a facing backwards, or away from the belts. This would make mounting and belt routing a nightmare. "

Go F/I with a turbo.

Do it like a tC with a long shaft running across the engine

The only reason the Tc has the shaft is because there is no room by the belts, and the h22 spins counter-clockwise, so a shaft wont really do anything.

A shaft with some sprockets on the end! That'll do.

If the shaft is spun counter clockwise by the motor, the rotex on the other side would be spun clockwise, assuming it's mean to be spun clockwise with the pulley on the left side

Look into Turbos.....Just don't bother boosting a stock motor. If you're looking for quick power/torque........Start reading about how wonderful Nitrous is.

get the JRSC then, it can be modified to fit last I recall.

or go with a ball bearing turbo setup. i'd suggest the GT28 since your power goals are low. the only thing about a responsive early-spooling turbo setup is that it will blow-off very often. if you don't want to draw attention to your car when you're driving i'd suggest looking into routing the BOV upstream now.

turbonetics makes a full t3/t4 setup for the 92-96 prelude h22a1 ob1. even comes with a preset air fuel maps. still would want to either rebuild the internals or upgrade. but its a quick spooling setup and would give you a moderate power bump your looking for and as far as the lots of blow off valve sounds and drawing attention quick solution: get a recirc. valve instead. omg problem solved.

hope this helps.

i said route the BOV upstream genius

and look at his power goals, there's no need to build the motor until it blows. it can be plenty reliable for the mild power gains hes looking for

ya know i thought about gettin back with some harsh words but i'm not stoopin to a new low. and never once did i say you were stupid, dumb or idiotic in any way. so yes i recognize you said reroute upstream, but some people wont understand what you're talking about. so if you thought i was bashing your response you have misunderstood me. and i said rebuild or upgrade (the upgrade would be later if he felt he wants a lil more power). rebuilding would just make it more reliable. some people dont want to "boost til it blows" because they dont want to have to replace or pull the motor more than they have to.

and for anyone wanting to come back at me for the things i say, just know i'm only on this forum to help people with a passion for hondas. so trying to argue with me will end up a one sided conversation.

happy boosting.
