I wanted to get everything I needed before taking it to a machine shop, pistons, cams, valve train, ecu, etc. What do typicall shops charge to do the rebuild? How much did you pay? Unless you built it yourself.

 

$500...the cost of a B20. Don't waste your money with the b16. Build up young grasshopper. lol

 

And just swap the head huh? How much do you think someone would charge to put the block in with the vtec head?

 

the B16 is vtec. just the parts you mentioned, you are looking at 1k average if name brand, and that doesn't include labor. and another factor is how much hp are you looking for. N/A or Turbo. alot of people dis on the b16, but I myself like them, I have 3, your best bet is to use the search button

 

this is my plan. I want to get everything I need. And once I have everything take it to someone to put it all togethere. I know im not looking at more than 170 to the wheels, but thats good enough.
