Default Should an inner-tie rod be greased up?

i had my mechanic installed an inner-tie rod. i asked him if it should need some grease, he said he put them on already. i was standing there all those time and saw nothing he put on. i noticed my car is hot after i parked it. could this be from him not putting the grease on? or could it be some other issue? the heat is coming from the wheels and is real hot. i had him replaced the driver side inner-tie rod.

Lol....an inner tie rod not being greased is not going to make anything hot except little heat inside the tie rod. The heat is coming from your brakes lol.

Anyways, some inner tie rods come pre-greased and sealed from the factory meaning there is no grease nipples on them(which is stupid). Look on the top or side and see if you see a grease nipple. If there is one then you need to grease them. If you see grease seeping out the side of the boot it means he already greased them.

outter tie rods....
Inner rods are inside the steering rack, outter tie rods connect to your steering knuckles. I bought Moog tie rods and they have the nipples. Not trying to advertise, but just saying.

good point...since you brought this up, what could cause it to be hot? where would you diagnose this problem?

It's friction. Common physics. Rub your hand together for about 5 minutes. They'll get warm. Kinetic energy (energy in motion) creates friction. Now think about the weight of a vehicle instead of your hand and two metalic surfaces instead of skin. It's going to get a hell of a lot hotter.

You need to go to where you went (or currently attend school) and bitch slap your teachers for not teaching you anything, and then proceed to open a book on physics and read it until you understand it
