ok so still having an issue help!!??!!
ok so i put the correct dizzy on and it seems at idle the timing is fine i checked it with a timing gun but then when i rev it up it starts missing not to bad anymore but its like bogging out or missing when i hold it higher in the revs around 3000 or so any suggestions
not enough spark? timing slightly off... I would take the rotor off, adjust the crank TDC, put the rotor back on, double check firing order and go from there, if it still does it then its probably the coil and or the ignitor, happened to me twice, I replaced the ignitor and put a MSD external set up, fine now...ummm also after you adjust all that, pull a spark plug from #1 pug it in the plug wire and let it touch frame or metal, i wouldnt hold it, and either have some one crank or your self and check how weak the spark is, easier with 2 people.
good chance, I would try what I suggested first, then if your getting weak spark start with plugs, plug wires, cap and rotor...if its still doing it then replace the coil and ignitor at the same time,if it still doing it maybe ur injectors are clogged.

lol I thnk this thread cursed me, now my car is acting up AGAIN! now when I drive the car misfires and the tach jumps around like crazy, I think its time for a new dizzy, that or the MSD wires are touching each other for the negative and positive of the coil, didnt mean to thread jack, thinking out loud.

ok so i went a messed with it changed the plugs the wires are new and opened up the dizzy and fixed a bent spring with a new one and hes wat is happening, it fires up and idles fine now when the throttle position sensor is plugged in it started to misfire with any throttle at all, with it unplugged it goes fine until about 2500 to 300 rpms then it will start to misfire and like run like **** and it sounds bad under the valve cover when it starts doin that i need this car to work and im so over it ive tried everything would it still be the ignitor
did you convert to MPFI? maybe you have some wires crossed up, and on the TPS did you switch the 2 outside wires around? this could also cause misfire, are you getting any codes on the ecu? ummm it still sounds like a spark issue, it could be the ignitor, I been there so I would try it and make sure u leave ur dizzy TDC, so u know ur not detonating from too much advance or retard.
and i had a harness made for me it was an obd0 to obd1 and mpfi harness i didnt touch the outside wires on the sensor like i said it seems to run fine until i get past 2500 or 300 rpms then it starts to come on more heavy the more i rev up
ok and lemme say this when the throttle position sensors is plugged in right when i turn the car on and i try and give it gas it will do that right away if i leav it off and rev it up it doenst start till around 3000 rpms if i put it back on then it still only does it around 3000 rpms but when i start the car with it on it does it as soon as you give it gas
