so i see there are a few options available to use my ipod on the factory system and was wondering what users prefer.
the local chain store suggested the scosche universal kit,but when i read up on it i see it is a wired fm modulator,with near cd quality.well near is not cd quality.so i was wondering about the other ones,of which i see there are many from various manufacturers,that use the cd changer input on the rear of the head unit.
what ones do you use,like,or wish you got rather than the one you have,or does it really matter as long as it works.lol
i saw that some have a short cable vs long,rca rather than 1/8,more than one input,grounding issues when charging etc.....

could search forever on the net or simply ask those who know,plus there likely won't be any false testimonials here.lol

i should add that i do have the tape/changer option on the head unit.

 

i searched canadian web sites and found the Precision Interface Electronics HON98-AUX at crutchfield.ca shipped for $73.44.
this is pretty much all i need as far as inputs.no need for more in my case,just for the ipod.
i was expecting a big price difference but the u.s. price with exchange would be this much and still need shipping.
i will check with the local car stereo shops on monday but don't imagine i will beat that price.??
still looking for advice though.

 

how about a cassette tape with the stereo jack?

that would work if it was cassette.the option is for a changer and the head unit has cd.
why it says tape is beyond me when there is none to be found and i have yet to see a tape changer in the trunk of a vehicle???
