Cant get my 98 civic hatch to start/stay running
It is getting warm again, and this year is worse than last. I can start my car, or attempt to do so, and it wont start. I thought it may be the main relay, as that is a common problem in Hondas. After talking with the service manager at my local dealer, he said there arent too many problems with the EK. However, once I convinced myself it was the relay, it would start with a little probing. I could hold the starter a little longer, and it would start up just fine, BUT when I would release the kay back to the start position to quickly it would die. So I'm now thinking that I may have something going on in my iginition switch. Its only got about 120k miles, and it typically only does it when its warmer outside. Any help would be great, THANKS!
I looked around and found the TSB/Recall. It sounds like that is my problem, now I just have to get the dealership to replace it, free, for a bulletin that was posted in 2002. Hopefully this will work out. Thank you for your help though.
