Code 8 Tired everything
Well starting about 2 months ago i threw a cel for #8 tdc error.Since then i have posted on here and tried all the suggestions. I did the reading in the helms manual and tried to trouble shoot and everything passed with flying colors so im completly stumped as to y is still on. Ive even gone so far as to completly eliminate the 2 wires to the tdc censor mainly bacause i wasnt getting any resistance in the 2 (300-700) mili ohms. So today i did more trouble shootine and still have not cleared the cel. Now im not really worried about this but its causeing vtec to not engage and a couple of meets are coming up and i want to see what it will pull previously 156.1 whp with no vtec. Now i have the cam gear set to 3 degrees advanced for jmy cam cause that supposedly the sweet spot for it. Would that cause it to read funny?

a way which I think may work is to buy a resister of the correct resistance 300-700 ohms and wire it in between the appropriate wires. this is just a suggestion though.
no im saying that at the dizzy it was the correct resistence, somewhere in the harness its broken tho so i replaced the wires to try and clear the cel but it still remains
So one of the TDC sensor wires from the ECU was broken, right? And you replaced the wires, right? So do both TDC wires now have continuity between the distributor connector and the ECU?
yes everything is getting the proper resistance and continuity....i even moved the tdc censor closer to the rotor it was pretty far away and i had heard that might be the problem........still a cel
