I am looking for experience shops that cover complete engine re-builds such as sleeving, honing, balance and blue print, head work, etc. Give some input, experiences, prices, reliability, how well the communication is with the builder, turn around time, etc.

midnight performance built my k20a2 motor. i highly recommend them if you are in sacramento. otherwise, you have to ship out

dont be cheap, and find somewhere legit. midnight is far from reputable, sorry, andre is a nice guy but they wrecked two customers. me and my brother.

dont go there ... i can just let you know what machine shop he use. its all local too... he mostly use that mechina shop across the street from h.a.p right next too American street rod...

 

they sold my boy dan, a build gs-r. when dan was at motorsport dynamic (he work'd there) installing his turbo kit. pull his oil pan off surprise
it was a stock gs-r bottom end... that shop do dirty **** i had a friend who work'd for him for a few months ... after he found out there was hot cars in the back of the shop he pack up his tools and left ...

 

i have a friend that will do your motor build for you ... he is the head tech at toyota but he grew up building Honda ... for a really decent price... pm me if your interested...

 

dels is where the honda and acura dealers send they're repairs too ... .... and don't even step into redline that place is wack since day 1

also cascar machine shop off of 47th
if u want to make a trip to stockton, ive heard great things about parris engine dynamics

 

I thought Del's only do machine work no engine assembly.

As for cascar I know they do machine work and assembly.

bringing this thread back up. has anyone heard of a builder name Rex Hutchison? not quite sure whats the name of his shop but from word of mouth I heard good things about him. Any one on HT have experience with him? Bump for more shops too.
