me and my friend are doing his driver side axle on his 01 prelude and ran into a problem with taking out the bolt that fastens the LCA and strut fork. we got the nut off, but it seems like the bolt froze inside of the bushing. we are using hand tools, could using a air tools help free up the bolt? what are our other options? has anyone ran into this problem?

 

You talking about #23? Just hit it a few times with a rubber mallet.

you should be able to hit it with the hammer. ive done it countless times.

 

i work for honda so i just ordered the bolt and bushing. he destroyed both. dont ask me how?

 

he tried to rotate the flange bolt. been there, done that. it grabs the metal insert in the bushing and tears it out. make sure the same thing doesn't happen to the inner bushing that holds the LCA on. that ones a bitch if the bolt gets lodged and the LCA usually needs to come out to press the old bushing out.
