With an S2K cluster, Holding down the SEL button will switch between KM/H and MPH.

Whenever I start my car, its on the default MPH and I can do the above to switch it to KM/H. Switch off the car and back on again and its back onto MPH. How do I make it that it sticks to KM/H?

Why? Im in South Africa and thats what we use.

Is it a wiring problem or do I have to do something else to 'save it to memory' to stick with KMH?

 

It should hold the last setting. Maybe your constant 12v to the cluster is not properly working. Is it safe to assume this is not actually on an S2000 but wired into another car?

 

Yeah, its in an EG - everything works perfectly except that.
Also, I assume the S2K doesnt have 'illumination' because the rev numbers/engine temp/fuel (basically all the white text ) dont illuminate at night...

 

I think we do, however when you turn the lights on the dash gets dimmer

 

Yeah, you do not have it hooked up properly then.
