first off, this is not going to be one of those crazy, all out build threads. this just a mini-resto job basically. i have my integra for my all out build. so, with that said...
i just picked up what is now crx number 5 in history of cars i've owned. right now it is just a rolling shell with a wire tuck. it is in need of some work and i will be bringing it back to life to be my daily beater since my integra is down for a full build and i'm driving an explorer everyday and gas prices keep going up.
here's a few pictures of how i got it...

the driver side rust

passenger side rust

front bumper already had the vw lip on it

and look what was inside...

jdm auto climate control ftw (not sure if its actually hooked up yet though)

engine bay is tucked but i did not take any pictures of that yet
so there is what i am starting with and here are my plans for it...
stock single cam motor rebuilt and converted to mpfi
fix all the rust
paint (leaning towards the stock crx si yellow)
putting my gsr blades on it
possibly converting to si rear disk brakes
lower it on tokico illuminas paired with skunk2 coil overs
cheap strut bars
possibly jdm rear seat
window visors
90-91 tails
replace/repair what is needed
and whatever else i feel like doing to it, lol
like i said, not a crazy build. i think that pretty much covers everything but its possible i could have missed something. so anyways, stay tuned and i hope you enjoy watching as i bring this car back to life again

so tonight i was going to do the lowering quick and ran into a problem already. can we guess what it was? yep, sure enough, the infamous seized rear lower shock bolt on both control arms
so now i have to either a) find a pair of good control arms b) buy new bushings or c) buy after market control arms
seeing as how this is just a quick budget build, im strongly leaning towards option a. so i will see what i can find.
in the mean time, here is a quick picture of my suspension combo...

yes, they are used but they are in great shape. took them off my civic coupe before i sold it.

damn you were on the ball with that comment man! lol i posted my second comment as soon as i posted the initial post and you already posted haha.
but yeah, i've got a decent amount of work ahead of me but its ok, i love my crx's. plus i cant complain at all for what i paid for it and what i got. i've only got roughly $200 in it and that includes picking it up 2 hours away

I agree. You do have a lot of work ahead of you. However, in the end, I hope every minute and energy spent into this project car was well worth it. Project cars were meant to be fun, so enjoy it! Good luck man! I hope to see the final product soon!

yeah but its cool, i dont plan on using them at all. putting my blades on it

and thanks for the comments from those of you who i didnt quote. it def. should be a fun lil build and i cant wait to get it under way.
the chassis harness is already tucked and converted to muli-point, but i dont have an engine harness however. but once i pick one up my friend is going to do the wiring to convert it to multi-point for me cuz i hate wiring. hopefully we can start that next week.

please explain... i've always loved this color and i never see it around here. its a factory color yet would be different for my area.
haha, yeah another one man. but this is to be a short lived, cheap-ish project. i just need a decent daily beater for gas mileage. as soon as its on the road i'll be back at the integra again. then once the integra is done if i still have this car i'll dive into it as well. lol
