Default B16 tranny question

I gotta b16 tranny with a JDM CTR LSD we just installed, the driver-side axle-shaft (longer one) i used my original civic si counter-shaft, but it just pulls right out. WTF? do i need a different counter-shaft?

No, that counter shaft is the right one. Sounds like the circlip at the end needs to be replaced. That's what locks it in.

BTW, never heard it called a "counter shaft", I assume you're talking about the "intermediate shaft" or "half shaft".

LOL... i just called a friend & thats what he said. He also said that the Intermediate shaft doesnt lock into the tranny, it lines up with the holes on the back of the block & it bolts in. Im going to remove the intermediate shaft from the axles & try to install the intermediate shaft into the tranny.

yeah the intermediate shaft just slides into the tranny from the driver side and then bolts to the back of the block...
