cheap place to buy Green Stuff brake pads?
I concur. They dust more than OEM. I even tested it by rinsing my rims really well, even scrubbed the calipers clean. Took a drove around the block and there was already brake dust settling in. Not the faint color, but a REALLY noticeable dark color.
As for performance, I didn't really feel anything? I'm trying Axxis next.

Is the redstuff just as bad? What about Hawk pads?
Hawks: I had a set of HP+'s on my 5th gen lude. Awesome performance! Loved them!! Only drawback is they tend to squeek under light braking. The Blues will tear-up your rotors for daily driving, but are magic on the track. You could try one of the grades lower than the +'s. I don't think you'll be disapointed.
CarboTech's have gotten rave reviews (www.carbotecheng.com) I have not heard anything bad about their performance. These will be my next brake pad purchase.

For Honda/Acura vehicles, I have arrived at the conclusion that the closest product to the "perfect" street/auto-x pad is the Axxis Ultimate. I have been a long time supporter for the Axxis Ultimate, and for several reasons:
(1) relatively low dust
(2) no/low noise
(3) rotor friendly
(4) good wear rates
(5) excellent cold stopping power
(6) higher braking torque versus OEM
(7) extreme fade resistance
(8) very affordable

Back when there was a hybrid board, EBC green stuff were good brake pads. Not sure how they rate anymore, but people liked them because they didn't dust as much as others.
Based on your past experience (back in the day) with the EBC Greenstuff, it sounds like the formulation must have been changed by EBC. The set of Greenstuff I tested last year on an Integra had the following results:
(1) heavy dusting
(2) some noise - not much, however
(3) 15% better stopping than OEM - good point
(4) horrendous wear rates -- 45miles/day -- down to the backers in 3 months
All things considered, and for the money, the Axxis Ultimate is really second to none for a high-performance street pad, which is why I sell it specifically for this type of application.

Are those list prices the "price" or is it cheaper? Front pads list for $92.25. Have you compared them to the porterfield r4s pads or something cheaper like the AEM pads? Thanks.
Jon,
The Axxis Ultimate prices shown on our website are list/retail prices. Honda-Tech.com members receive a 10% discount. Until the end of August, the discount for Honda-Tech.com members is 15%.
The Axxis Ultimate compares favorably to the Porterfield R4S, but it is more fade-free, and will not glaze or crumble like the R4S will when used at the track. I also favor the Axxis Ultimate over the Porterfield R4S when it comes to overall quality control.
Compared to the AEM/Nissin pads, there is no comparison. The Axxis Ultimate is in a different performance category (same category as Porterfield R4S, Hawk HP Plus, and Ferodo DS2500). The AEM/Nissin pads are in a somewhat lower performance category, along with the Axxis Metal Master and Hawk HPS, IMO.
