I bought my ed3 over 2 years ago and ever since I had it i've always had a front suspension problem that I can't figure out...Everytime I turn left I have this weird thumping clicking sound coming from the front driver side...It's not the axle because I replaced it and it's still making the noise...It sounds really bad when I have passengers in the back seat and with more weight in the car...It sounds like if the wheel is riding over bumps and clicks different than what a bad axle would sound like

do you have a swaybar? if you do i'd check that first, it also could be a worn out bushing on the lower control arm, i'm thinking it's number 2 because of it being worse with more weight in the car

it's just the stock sway bar...when you say lower bushing you mean like the lower ball joint or better yet do you got a pic...?

This sounds dumb, but look inside your wheel if it has wheel weights on the inside it might be hitting the control arm or something when you turn. I heard about that happening.

If you're running an OTS integra axle and have a lowered suspension, thats what the clicking is from. Get a set of raxles, best $300 i ever spent on my car.

i guess im just gonna replace the entire front suspension with that front suspension kit from ebay...i bought the same kit for my cb7 back in 2006 and never had a problem with it...do you think if i change all the items in the link below that it should probably fix it...? also do you know what the symptoms of a bad wheel bearing might be...!!!

i jacked my wheels up and did the 3-9 and 6-12 o'clock test and my wheels shake back and forth both ways...i can see the back and forth movement between my brake pads and brake rotors when i shake the wheels...so does it mean that its the wheel bearings and both balljoints that need to be replaced or just the brake pads since they haven't been replaced in years
just went through all this tooo0o0o0!!!!! well get that kit change ur upper control arm lower ball joints and outer tie rods and check all of ur bushings such as the strut fork bushing on the front lower control arm.. secondly if u change all that then it can only be the rack an pinion.. i had a similar problem an it ended up being the rack after i changed everything!! cant be to upset cuz atleast everything is brand new in the front good luck!! -jorfu

well im bumping my old thread because the problem is not fixed...i replaced my wheel bearings, uca's with ball joints, lower ball joints, outer tie rods and axles and have the same outcome...only thing i haven't changed is the inner tie rods, lower control arm and power rack and pinion.
any other ideas what it could be...when i make left turns it makes clunking sounds like if im rolling over rocks...keep in mind that i replaced all the old parts with brand new Moog parts...my rack and pinion doesn't leak any fluid and when i put on the new outer tie rods my inner tie rods just dropped with gravity

changed from power to manual rack and pinion with new inner and outer tie rods and did a alignment today and still no change...what the hell is left besides the front lca and radius rods that could be causing this problem
try checking your half shaft bolts and make sure they arent loose...mine got loose and made the clunking ckicking popping sounds...and my axle broke completely into cuz of it...so check that asap to save ur axles...could be the diff goin bad as well. or mayb the rack end bushing? brake dust shield?

wheel bearings
uca's with balljoints
lower balljoints
axles
manual rack and pinion
motor
tranny
this has been a ongoing problem since i got the car back in 2007 and only does it on left turns.
haven't replaced the following:
front lca's
stabalizer links
radius rod bushings
