Not as paranoid as you have to be with an EM1 Si, but who knows now that flashpro and Cobb AP are coming out. Time will tell if the theives start coming after our cars. Keep it insured, but I wouldn't go spending thousands on security measures. If a theif wants your car, they will take it.

 

A friend of mine had his 4 door Si stolen from UC Irvine man...

Their a lot harder to steal than older gens, thats for sure, but nothing can stop a tow truck...

 

So should I invest in a aftermarket security system at the very least, or just save my time and money?

 

I personally do not have one, and never will. If it is one thing Ive learned on this site, is that most thieves just take your alarm right along with your car, after they quickly disable it.

If you want to do something that seems to be a little more effective, look into installing a kill switch.

Me personally, my car is fully insured, if they steal it, so be it. You cant really get away from that with a Civic Si. My car is stock though, so I dont have money in it like some people do.

on my dad's titan, he got
something called mobile guardian
and its a small gps chip.
all he has to do is login
to a website with his usernmane and password
and it tells him where his truck is within 25 feet
or somethin like that.

Last year, sometime in november I think. In one of the dorm parking lots.

Ive had 2 cars stolen on my campus, My EG and my GSR, its terrible man. I remember his got stolen about the same time my GSR got jacked.
