Refill the ac condensor
The bottle cost about $6 at autozone.

The compressor clutch engages, right? Does the condenser fan run? If so, hook a manifold gauge set to measure refrigerant pressure on both the high and low sides. Post the pressures to get more feedback.

Hook a manifold gauge set to measure refrigerant pressure on both the high and low sides. Post the pressures to get more feedback. The pressure readings can be used to diagnose the problem.

try getting behind the climate control and making sure the lever is all the way to cold, my friend had the same problem and had it recharged thinking that was the problem but then he went back there and started messing with the lever and found that he could still move it towards the cold more and well that solved his problem so try that and see if by some chance it helps u.

like ron said it would be helpful if were able to put a set of gauges on it and get the pressures...also i u emptied the system and recharged it..did u put a vaccum on it to remove the air from the system? If not that could be your problem because air is an enemy in any ac system..it will not condense right in your condenser and will throw your pressures off

At idle with A/C ON in the shade, here are the normal readings:

Low side - 22-36 PSI
High side - 220-295 PSI

lol not 100% sure on that, i have an ek so not entirely sure but there is a way, try checking underneath the dash and wat can unscrew or if u can just reach it from there. if not see if the climate control detaches like the 96-00 ones do if someone else can chime in and tell him how to get the climate control off or how to get back there where the lever is.

lol just look at it for a bit and study it, you should be able to find a way to get back there and then just push the lever and make sure its all the way to cold.

The heater valve is located on the firewall. Find it and make sure it's pushed fully closed.

you said you replaced the freon. if you did not have it evacuated. then that is you will need done. when its done, they suck out all the freon and air in the system and replace it with your freon thats filtered and any new freon you may need.( no air in system).

to get the fan to blow faster make sure all connections are good at blower motor sometimes the highest setting wont work due to a loose wire, or at least thats what happened to me, also to get a/c cold as possible get some certified with an a/c machine to do a full vacuum/leak test/ refill. should spit ice cubes at you.
