Default my door lock isn't working!!!

i tried installing an alarm myself for my 92 Gsr.
everything is fine, except that it does not lock/unlock when arm and disarm.

....instead of going to either kick panel, i tapped into the wires at the Door Lock Relay(left of the steering column). Green/white for lock and Green/red for unlock...
could that be something i should not have done? could that be the reason why it doesn't work?

i really need help... been going at it for a week, but still didn't get it to work.
i been getting help from fcm through PM, but for some reason he can't see my photos....
so maybe this post will help

Instructions are terrible, but it looks like you need to tie the yellow wire & the yellow/black wire to your ground wire. Then, white & white/black will be your lock/unlock wires.

Ditto that^^^
Wiring diagram #1, except the yellow and yellow/black can just go to chassis ground, they do not need to go to the "common" lead. 94
