I'm old, so old I can remember when Honda cars first appeared in the US. And that's what we called them - "Honda Cars" - to distinguish them from Honda's (motorcycles).
They were a curiosity. And one of the oddest of the curiosities was the Z600, which strangely enough all these many years later I think is kinda cool. So I carefully share this perspective with a few close buddies. Mentioning too that it's cooler to picture it with a modern litre-bike motor or maybe even a CBX six.
One of my buds who is always "looking out for me", sent me this:

Never seen one of these before. Kinda neat. Kinda Mazda Cosmo.
Scott, who is content to appreciate without coveting...I don't need another car to not work on...

Very cool. They were sold locally here in Australia too, there is one, red with vinyl roof, sitting out the back of the Honda dealer where I bought my ITR. They got good reviews in the local motoring press from what I gather when they were released.
they are pretty awesome. there is a guy in the classics forum that has a great looking red one. i'd love to buy that!!!

Small World Scott!
That exact car was at my shop for a couple of weeks just recently having some Oil lines repaired.
Runs sweet.

I'm still drooling over this '67 S800 coupe:

Only $18K at bringatrailer.com
I would most certainly deface it.
